	Chubby took his cue from artists of the '60s, including Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, among others. In his early twenties, he worked for a while backing punk poet Richard Hell. Chubby's first big break was winning a national blues talent search sponsored by KLON, a public radio station in Long Beach, California. He won New Artist of the Year, and opened the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992, and has been rocking audience with his bold approach to music ever since. Chubby continues to play more than 200 club dates a year, and has released numerous albums worldwide, since. Most notably, his Sony/Okeh debut, 'Booty and the Beast', was produced by longtime Atlantic Records engineer/producer TOM DOWD, whose recordings by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, among others are legendary!

	Marshall Crenshaw received his first big break playing John Lennon in the off-Broadway company of Beatlemania. In 1987, he played Buddy Holly in the Richie Valens biopic “La Bamba.” While living in NYC, he recorded the single “Something’s Gonna Happen” for Alan Betrock’s Shake Records, which led to a deal with Warner Bros. His debut album, was acclaimed as a pop masterpiece upon its release in 1982 and established him as a first-rate songwriter, singer and guitarist. The record spawned the Top 40 single “Someday, Someway,” which rockabilly singer Robert Gordon covered and scored a hit with a year earlier. “Although he was seen as a latter-day Buddy Holly at the outset, he soon proved too talented and original to be anyone but himself.” - Trouser Press “He writes songs that are melodic, hooky and emotionally true, and he sings and and plays them with an honesty and for ce that still finds room for humor without venom.” - All Music Guide

	The irrepressible blues icon, Joe Louis Walker, celebrates his Falcon Residency with the theme - "Artists Deserving More Recognition" - every Monday in December, with extraordinary Special Guests. NPR Music has called Walker “a legendary boundary-pushing icon of modern blues,” and has been referred to within the blues world as a living legend. TONIGHT'S SPECIAL GUEST: Vanessa Collier is a captivating and multitalented blues vocalist, saxophonist, and songwriter. She has toured the US and internationally with Grammy Award-winning, Blues Hall of Fame Artist Joe Louis Walker, and played alongside Annie Lennox, Kathy Mattea, Willie Nelson, among others. Vanessa was honored on Dan Aykroyd’s House of Blues Radio Show (Elwood’s BluesMobile) as a "Best of 2014 Blues Breaker Featured Artist", selected as one of the top three finalists in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and earned a coveted spot to compete in the International Blues Challenge, Memphis TN.

	Poet Gold assembles a fresh new line-up of brilliant spoken word and musical artists every fourth Wednesday, at The Falcon Underground, New York Taproom & Beer Garden. The Falcon's highly encouraged DONATION policy will support these wonderful living artists. Originally from the Bronx NY, Gregory Charlemagne was raised in Wappingers Falls. While in college, he began to share a few years of cooped up guitar playing and songwriting. Upon his return home, he began visiting open mics and events to expand his love of performing. Gregory's pure vocals, melodies and creative songwriting enhance an ideal personal experience for his audience. Poet Gold’s poetry balances the written word with performance, delivering Spoken Word Poetry that is both transformative and entertaining. 	Matisyahu first made a name for himself with his album 'Live at Stubbs,' and 'Youth' quickly followed. Both albums subsequently went Gold and 'Youth' was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. 2009's 'Light' reached #1 on the Reggae Albums chart and stayed in the top spot for 34 weeks. His fourth studio album, 'Spark Seeker,' also debuted at #1 on the Reggae chart, marked his relocation from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and found him working with Dr. Luke protégé KoOoL Kojak. 'Akeda' (out June 3, 2014), Matisyahu's fifth studio album, was written both in Matisyahu's Los Angeles home and while on tour. Matisyahu states, "This record and period of my life deal with madness, listening for and following the inner intuitive voice, a small still sound.
