"It's all about the song. It has to be. If it isn't, then as far as I'm concerned, you're missing the point." - Pat O'Shea

The Hudson River Valley's boundless music scene is home for singer/songwriter/guitarist Pat O’Shea. The former sideman continues to impress with his well-crafted songs and strong musicianship. His resume is equally impressive and includes six years playing guitar for the legendary Levon Helm, countless shows backing Blues greats James Cotton and Hubert Sumlin, as well as collaborations with Jimmy Vivino (Conan O’Brien, The Fab Faux), David Johansen (The New York Dolls) and Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan) among others.

O’Shea’s songs are pure American music, influenced equally by heartland Country, down-home Blues and straight ahead Rock n Roll. His thoughtful lyrics, inspirational melodies and powerful arrangements will rock you hard, let you down easy and take you everywhere in between.

with Brian Collazo,, Latin rhythms, 90's R&B, Funk & Hip-Hop
Motown/R&B
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
BSKi is the new solo project from Brian Collazo, frontman for Live Society, a band that recorded three albums together and were fixtures on the indie NYC circuit regularly performing at notable stages like The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall, among others. Brian has been a 12 Grapes favorite from our first hello, and we're excited to celebrate his EP Release.

BSKi's debut EP "Keep It Light" was produced by Greg Mayo (Bernhoft, Brooklyn Sugar Co.). At times blending Latin rhythms with 90's R&B, Funk & Hip-Hop, he adds a tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach for a uniquely personal record. "Both musically and lyrically, these songs sound and feel more like me than anything I've ever done," Brian says.

Brian's band includes Greg Mayo (guitar), Anthony Candullo (bass), John Roggie (keys), Eric Brown (drums/vox) and Anthony Almonte (percussion/vox).

Daby Touré creates an elegant sonic mixture that merges the linguistic inflections of the six languages he speaks. Touré never fails to astound audiences with this ethereal voice, masterful guitar work, and infectious energy. His music is packed with catchy hooks that seem to demand a singalong regardless of what language they are delivered in.

Daby has been invited to sing at each of the four corners of the globe. "The Only One" a new release of originals, co-written by Bergson & Hooks, features Ellis swapping Sam & Dave-like vocals with Chris—so well-paired that it’s hard to discern where one ends and the other begins. Even better is the short but tasty Steve Cropper-styled solo by Bergson." Living Blues

"Until the arrival of Ellis Hooks on the 21st century blues and soul scenes with his now-signature meld of R&B, blues and Southern gospel, it seemed that the great stories ...had already been told ...Not so...Hooks is the true continuum... reminiscent of some of the greats...." - All Music Guide

"Upon first hearing guitar man Chris Bergson and his gravely southern drawl, which is a combination of Levon Helm and Gregg Allman, you can hardly believe this guy is from New York City...an artist dedicated to bringing blues and classic R&B into the future while honoring the past." - No Depression

Blues Music Award nominee Alexis P. Suter is a powerhouse bass/baritone vocalist with the ability to go to "that other place" where singers go when they are lost in the music. It is no wonder the late B.B. King and the late Levon Helm were big fans. Suter and her band have played nearly 100 of Helm’s shows in Woodstock NY and opened for “The King” when he visited her hometown of NYC.

The Ministers of Sound feature Ray Grappone (APSB, Buster Poindexter, Levon Helm) on drums and percussion, Vicki Bell (APSB, Open Door, Corey Daye) on vocals and percussion, and Dave Keyes (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Odetta, Bo Diddley, David Johansen, Popa Chubby) on keys, and Chris Bergson (The Chris Bergson Band, AMOS) on guitar.
