	Joshua Morris began performing classical music at an early age with his father, mother, brother and sister, he began performing around the south, and the Morris Family became well known for their beautiful Irish harmonies. Later, Joshua expanded his musical repertoire to include rock and roll, drawing on his classical and Irish background, and with his band Sinclair, released the album Stories of this Land in 2002. Joshua recorded and produced the 2004 Morris Family release Farewell to Summer. After moving to Beacon, NY in 2008, Joshua has continued his musical ambitions, melding his voice, violin and guitar into a solo act adept in both faithful traditional tunes as well as improvised original work. Joshua currently designs recording studios and other acoustically-sensitive spaces for Walters-Storyk Design Group in Highland, NY. CORNED BEEF & CABBAGE will be served.

	The Rock Tavern Chapter of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, will be featuring Charlie Lang on Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. Open mic performances will be available to all. Cost of admission for this event is $6 ($5 for Folk Guild members and seniors). Charlie Lang started his songwriting and performing at a young age. He wrote his first song at age 5 and won his first talent show at age 12. At age 15, he recorded songs at the famous A & R Recording Studio in New York City. At age 17 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied composition counterpoint, singing, and piano. He has written hundreds of songs and has engineered and produced many recordings of others in his home studio. For five years he was a regular at the piano at the 88 Charles Street restaurant in Montgomery. The Canada Lee Project explores his legacy as both an actor and passionate civil rights activist through an on-stage reading based on Hudson Valley playwright, Mona Z. Smith’s original play about Lee as well as her critically acclaimed biography. Characters include many of Lee’s well-known contemporaries including Orson Welles, Langston Hughes, Talullah Bankhead and Ed Sullivan.
