12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Tonight, we'll be wishing John Longhitano a fond farewell as he takes off for sunny California to pursue his passion and dream. John studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston. There, he met his idol John Mayer, who inspired him to write and produce original music. Two of John's professors were Pat Pattison and Tomo Fujita, who taught John Mayer and Kara DioGuardi, a successful hit songwriter and ex American Idol judge. John recently released his first album, Good Guy Gets The Girl, and two of his songs have been featured on 100.7 WHUD.

Joining John tonight is his friend and fellow songwriter, Jess Erick. Jess has a voice that can stop a room. She is a phenomenal songwriter, and her lyrics tell stories that pull you in and leave you wanting more. "Take Me Home", "Pen Letter " and "Honey" are fan favorites. Jess Erick hosts the 12 Grapes monthly Open Mic nights.

Join us for a night of original music, acoustic style!

A Special Night With Judy Collins
Folk/Traditional, Pop/Soft Rock, and Rock (classic)
Paramount Hudson Valley
1008 Brown St.
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Judy Collins has inspired audiences with sublime vocals, boldly vulnerable songwriting, personal life triumphs, and a firm commitment to social activism. In the 1960s, she evoked both the idealism and steely determination of a generation united against social and environmental injustices. Five decades later, her luminescent presence shines brightly as new generations bask in the glow of her iconic 50-album body of work, and heed inspiration from her spiritual discipline to thrive in the music industry for half a century. Judy Collins, now 74, is as creatively vigorous as ever, writing, performing 80 to 100 dates nationwide, and nurturing fresh talent. She is a modern day Renaissance woman who is also an accomplished painter, filmmaker, record label head, musical mentor, and an in-demand keynote speaker for mental health and suicide prevention. Tickets are $49, $59, $69 (including all tax/fees)and available by phone, box office or online.

A young, up-and-coming, must-see talent!
with Dylan Doyle Band
Blues, Roots Music, and Rock (classic)
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Dylan Doyle is creating a stir in the Hudson Valley music community. Born in the south to Yankee parents, he has been steeped in everything from Robert Johnson and Townes Van Zandt to Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Hendrix. From this comes a unique musical interpretation that lies somewhere within the delta of Rock, Rockabilly, and the Blues. Dylan was recently a featured artist in the Live Music Camp of this year's "Burning Man Event" as well as the 2014 King Biscuit Blues Festival, one of the biggest blues festivals in the country.

And he's getting noticed: "Dylan sounds like ... Jimi Hendrix." ... "A seasoned guitar slinger in a young man's frame."... "Dylan is the best young musician I've heard in a long time."

Dylan's rhythm section includes NY Blues Hall of Famers Vince Leggiere on bass and Papa John on drums. This is going to be awesome.

Saxophonist Eric Person is setting a new standard in sound and his band Meta-Four is nothing short of dynamic. For over twenty years, Eric has been committed to composing, recording and performing contemporary American music. He plays the alto and soprano sax and the flute and is featured as a leader and sideman on more than 30 recordings. His broad range of experience with Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Ronald Shannon Jackson, the World Saxophone Quartet, and John Hicks, have all contributed greatly to his mature alto and soprano sound and his skills as an arranger and composer.

His CD, "Thoughts On God" received rave reviews and John Murphy, of Downbeat Magazine, gave it 4 ½ stars.

Jazz, Rock (progressive), and Funk
Unison Arts Center
68 Mountain Rest Road
New Paltz, NY   See Map
The Nathans will celebrate the release of their newest CD, "Up the Hill" on June 13th.

While singers/songwriters/guitarists Jeff Cohen and Rob Leitner are not new to music (Jeff has 2 previous cd releases and both Rob and Jeff have been performing their whole lives), their first collaborative studio CD may have listeners wondering where these guys have been. The 13 tracks reveal a classic cast of influences, including Simon & Garfunkel, The Beates and Peter Gabriel. The Nathans have founded out this work by gathering a seasoned group of Hudson Valley musicians including Tim Curtis-Verderosa, Julian Baker, Jason Sarubbi, Matty Senzatimore. The evocative tales set to permeating pulses of jazz, progressive and funk will move you to sway with their rhythms. Advance tickets are $16 ($12 for Unison members) and $18 at the door ($14 for members). Students are half price with a valid ID.
