Unitarian Fellowship, 320 Sawkill Rd.
Kingston, NY   See Map
Bruce Hildenbrand grew up listening to rock music, especially on the “FM” stations, and he started playing guitar in junior high “garage bands.” Then while attending college in West Virginia he discovered the pleasures and authenticity of acoustic blues, folk, and bluegrass, and he began writing songs about his experiences. He admired crossover artists like Hot Tuna and David Bromberg. Then business life and fatherhood took over for about 25 years, until Bruce's family convinced him to play music in public again. Recently Bruce has played with folk-rock band Trio Mio, singer-songwriter Kimberly, Americana players Dick Vincent and Matt Bowe, and occasionally he performs solo at open mics and similar events.

The open mic portion of the evening is a great opportunity for newcomers and seasoned performers with a welcoming, appreciative audience. All styles of music or spoken word, folk & beyond.

This group comprises members from Jazzrausch Bigband - the Munich, Germany-based seventeen-piece techno big band known for performing original music and backing well-known rapper-songwriter, Nina Fiva Sonnenberg. The ensemble performs over 300 dates a year across Europe, Asia, and the US, and in 2017 to a sold-out crowd at The David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center.

Their live big band techno shows are a musical meltdown! Big band creativity and sound meet the clarity of a techno club. Surprising and danceable!

The veteran musicians of this conjunto, to their credit, have performed and recorded with world renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriquez, Eddie Palmieri, Monguito "el unico", los Kimbos, and the New Swing Sextet, to name a few.
