Legendary MMW drummer, Billy Martin will conduct his musical game piece for a guitar orchestra along the waterfall at The Falcon Outdoor Stage!

This is a suite of percussion compositions as a collaborative game, played not to win or lose, but by a team whose primary challenge is collective improvisation. It is the formation of a self-governing ensemble acting as one ‘organism’ that produces unique arrangements each performance.

The Book! https://www.hellomerch.com/products/stridulations-for-the-good-luck-feast-book

Containing 13 mini scores in a deluxe folder pack, this publication is designed for percussion ensembles, schools, workshops, including music therapy. Martin is currently associate director and has recently been elected President (for 2018) of the Creative Music Studio, anon-profit organization in New York founded by Karl Berger, Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry.

Solo and ensemble music with Special Guests, by Medeski Martin & Woods' legendary drummer / composer, Billy Martin!

From 1987 to1989, Billy Martin toured and recorded with Chuck Mangione, then returned to Manhattan where he played with John Lurie’s Lounge Lizards, a Downtown NYC experimental jazz band, best known for their contributions to the "Get Shorty" soundtrack.

In 1991, he joined up with John Medeski and Chris Wood to form Medeski Martin and Wood. More than 20 years later, the trio continues to record and perform together, most recently releasing Juice (September 2014) with the addition of guitarist John Scofield.

Throughout his tenure with MMW, since 1991, Martin has pursued outside projects, with both notable musicians and up-and-comers.

After releasing two critically acclaimed albums in the last two years, Ruckus and Romance (2016), "devilishly brilliant", "intensely beautiful") and Finding You (2018), a "fine, intense commentary on America's past" /No Depression), Bruce T Carroll is hitting the road and playing with a band of supremely accomplished musicians, including Marc Shulman, Tommy Mandel, Sara Milonovich, Joe Bonadio, Lincoln Schlieffer, Andy Stack, Lee Falco, Brandon Morrison, and Jeremy Baum.

His signature songs, including "When Two Worlds Collide" (from Ruckus and Romance) and "Fox In The Henhouse" (from Finding You), continue to get ample airplay worldwide. These songs, and other from his catalogue, are rooted in his conviction that music and social conscience come from the same wellspring of humanity, and derive meaning and power from their ability to unite and inspire...

O' Solo Vito Petroccitto
Acoustic, Covers, and Rock (classic)
Pamela's On the Hudson
1 Park PL
Newburgh, NY   See Map
Vito Petroccitto is magic. And we’re not just talking about the way he deftly casts alternating spells on his audiences, moving them either to awe, tears, full-out belly laughs, or all three at once. Armed only with his gritty, dirty, swampy telecaster guitar, his crazy-good vocal chords, and more than a touch of genius, Vito has somehow figured out how to do the work of ten men. If he’s not performing all over the Hudson Valley with “Four Guys in Disguise” (the band he co-founded in 1989, voted “Best of the Hudson Valley” for years running), he’s out gigging with his newest brainchild, “Left by the Wayside:” a swampy blues and funk band. Think Little Feat meets John Fogerty meets the Grateful Dead.
