After taking a year off to work on a few things (like the new record) I'm bringing the Singer Songwriter series back to the all new, even more music friendly Green Growler. We'll kick off this series with the return of Paul Anthony, who was on the closing bill of the last show we did, so I thought it was only appropriate to have him open the series back up. And I'm THRILLED to have Emily Duff on the bill- She's going to be doing songs from her new album "Maybe In The Morning". Read this article, and get to the Growler on Thursday. This is one great album and I can't wait to hear her perform. We'll be at 4 Croton Point Ave. and we'll kick off around 7:30 or so. No Cover. Great Beer. Great Music. Facebook Site | ||

Deafness is a hardship for anyone, but for a musician it is catastrophic. When Ludwig van Beethoven first experienced loss of hearing as a young man, he contemplated suicide, but he made the decision to resist his suicidal impulses and instead fulfill his artistic destiny. Harvard-trained psychiatrist and Juilliard-trained concert pianist Dr. Richard Kogan gives a lecture/concert that examines how Beethoven became a greater composer once locked inside the silent world of his imagination. Dr. Kogan explores the psychological basis of Beethoven’s creative life and will illuminate the discussion with performances of some of Beethoven’s most extraordinary music.
