Marie DanielleThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Marie Danielle is an indie folk singer-songwriter. Her dark and clever songwriting connects to audiences with its naked honesty about love, loss and addiction

Marie had played her songs in private until a brush with death in a violent domestic relationship lent her the courage to reach out to an artist she greatly admires, Simone Felice. Marie sent her demos to this founding member of the internationally acclaimed Catskill Mountain-based Felice Brothers.

Soon after, Marie and her friend Christian Wargo of the folk band Fleet Foxes left LA for Woodstock, NY to begin recording with Simone and his production partner David Baron. What started as an EP grew into a full length record – Hustler, featuring Felice, Wargo and even the original lineup of The Felice Brothers who backed Marie for her first single ‘Soldier’. Marie is touring the US this autumn and winter, and hits Europe again in the spring.

Connor Kennedy & Minstrel, Will Bryant, Brandon Morrison, Lee FalcoThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Hailing from the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Connor Kennedy & Minstrel cut their proverbial teeth bringing a sound from town to town, up and down the Hudson River Valley, they call home.

The band. Connor Kennedy (guitar/vocals), Will Bryant (organ/vocals), Lee Falco (drums/vocals), and Brandon Morrison (bass/vocals), have been working together, fearlessly creating a unified sound - a sound that has been lost in today's technologically imposed distance. Rock is nothing without roll.

Their heroes are post-electric-blues British conduits, third stream jazz composers, that kid from Long Island, and any singer willing to wear a fox mask and a red dress.

They’re really quite open to anything, and are looking forward to navigating the magical lands of America and the continents, bringing sounds deemed adequate for listening, by you, and the person to your right.

Woodstock, NY   See Map
One of the most critically acclaimed bands of the last three decades, 10,000 Maniacs were founded by Robert Buck, Dennis Drew, Steven Gustafson, John Lombardo and Natalie Merchant in the fall of 1981. Together with artists like R.E.M. they defined college rock and created the first wave of alternative rock bands and what became know as the alternative rock format on FM radio.

Writing and performing powerful, danceable and socially conscious original material in and around their hometown of Jamestown, New York the group toured extensively in the 80’s and 90’s.

By producing, manufacturing and marketing their own recordings 10,000 Maniacs were one of the original “indie” bands.

Today finds the band in their 35th anniversary and touring to support their most recent album, TWICE TOLD TALES, a collection of traditional folk songs from the British Isles released in early 2015. The album was their second venture in crowd funding through Pledgemusic.com.

The hot Latin sounds of Soñando have earned them the reputation as the Hudson Valley's premier Latin band. This spicy blend of music and musicians have performed in clubs, at private functions, community festivals, benefit concerts, on radio and television, as well as the Puerto Rico Day Parade in NYC, but the band is at home wherever a dance floor can be cleared. Fueled by a fiery rhythm section and high-octane horns, Soñando plays a wide variety of Latin styles from Plena and Son to Salsa and Merengue!

"The name of the band is Spanish for "dreaming" but when the hordes come out for Soñando, they don't sleepwalk-they dance. And we're not talking a few perfunctory head-bobs or butt-wiggles, they dance until they go up in flames like, Tula's unquenchable bedroom in the Cuban lyrics above." -Woodstock Times

The ultimate tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, Live at The Fillmore was founded on the idea that, as Greg Allman was quoted as saying, “The Allman Brothers weren’t a ‘jam band’ - but a band that knew how to jam.” Fans who had the good fortune to hear the Allman Brothers shows know that though they did leave room for improvisation and personal expression, for the most part the songs remained the same.

Comprised of highly talented, seasoned and committed musicians, LATF brings back authentically the performances of the original Allman Brothers Band for those who were there to hear and still remember them, along with those who have a similar love of this music and wish they had been there to see it.

She met acclaimed and award-winning singer/harp player Chris O’Leary a few years before he became the lead singer for Levon Helm's Barn Burners. When O’Leary launched his own band in 2008 and invited her to join, she jumped at the chance. Of McCarthy, O'Leary has said, "she's my favorite person in the world to sing with."

McCarthy’s vocals are powerful and soulful and her band plays a mix of blues, funk, R&B and rock—including original and cover material.

Peekskill, NY   See Map
Peekskill native, NYFA (New York Foundation For The Arts) grant recipient Fred Gillen Jr has released nine full-length albums, to great critical acclaim, and has toured all over the U.S. and Europe. His songs have been featured on ABC's "All My Children," NPR's "Car Talk," CMJ's New Music Marathon Sampler, and in 2012 his version of Woody Guthrie's "I Ain't Got No Home" was featured on "Pete Remembers Woody," a collection of Pete Seeger's spoken stories about Woody Guthrie. Like Guthrie, his songs often reflect the struggles of the marginalized and forgotten, shining a light on both the despair and hope in the human condition. His live performances are spontaneous celebrations of all that it is to be human, he encourages participation, and he works hard to eliminate the "fourth wall" between performer and audience.

Admission $10.

"The most arrestingly innovative pianist in jazz...." - Vanity Fair

"When it comes to the art of solo piano in jazz, there are two classes of performers: Fred Hersch and everybody else." - All About Jazz

Of the CD "The Fred Hersch Trio: Sunday Night At The Vanguard" recorded on Sunday March 27, 2016, Hersch writes, "We captured lightening in a bottle in a way that is almost impossible to get in a studio." At age 60, Hersch continues to grow as a pianist in richness and depth, and the trio's interaction is more refined than ever.

A select member of the jazz piano pantheon, Fred Hersch is a pervasive force, shaping the course of music for more than three decades as an improviser, composer, educator, bandleader, collaborator and recording artist. An eight-time Grammy Award nominee, he continues to earn jazz´s most prestigious awards.

Paula Ryan is an award-winning singer songwriter, hailing from Tipperary, Ireland. Paula performs regularly not only in Ireland but also in UK, USA, France & Germany. Paula's songs have received recognition in many prestigious song writing competitions & had considerable radio/tv broadcast coverage. According to Rose Rushe, Arts Editor of the Limerick Post, Paula's songwriting comes from the "Joni Mitchell/ Joan Baez school of writing" with "an impressive series of instruments" (Marimba, Guitar, Bazouki, Bodhran) used to compliment Paula's "clear & sweet" vocal tones which also lend easily to gutsy up-tempo numbers. With the "quality of the writing & performance on offer" from Paula, Irish Music magazine reckons that "there is nothing that will stop her" (her new album "Let Me Fly" suggests) flying high artistically or "her music flying off the virtual shelves". "Paula is such "a strong talent in writing and performing..."and (her) live performances are well "worth seeking out".
