Mortet is the extraordinary Michael Hollis Trio
Jazz, Blues
The Village Market and Eatery
125 Main Street
Gardiner, NY   See Map
Jazz, Blues! Swing! Kick-Ass Back-Beats.... These are a few of Michael Hollis' favorite things when expressing himself through the idiom of Jazz. His trio is named Mortet and is inspired by such legends as Wes Montgomery, John Scofield, and Bill Frisell. Hollis draws from a largely dynamic portfolio when performing -- original compositions and classics drawn from the Great American Songbook. Hollis brings his versatility to the table, crafting a sound that is uniquely his own. Here's what our friend Tony Falco at The Falcon says about Michael Hollis: "Michael Hollis is one of the Young Jazz Guitar Lions that guitar great, Mark Dziuba, has set loose into the Hudson Valley and beyond" -Tony Falco (The Falcon/Marlboro, NY). Mortet is: Michael Hollis - Guitar, James O'Keeffe - Bass, Michael Kadnar - Drums. A great menu of dinner specialties from the Village Market and Eatery. MORTET. Saturday OCT 29, 7-9PM. Doors open for dinner all day. Sorry, this isn't a free concert.

Phil Gammage Performs At Green Kill

No Depression says that “Used Man For Sale” is Gammage’s modern day masterpiece.”

Phil Gammage will perform, with Andrew Wheeler and Michael LaPorte, songs for his new album “Used Man for Sale.” at Green kill at 229 Greenkill Avenue in Kingston, NY on October 29 at 8pm. $10 at door.

Phil Gammage’s style of roots and blues influenced music has been compared to everyone from Elvis Presley to Chris Isaak to Roy Orbison to Scott Walker — or as the Trouser Press once wrote about Phil’s music “…underwrought darkside Americana echoing Nick Cave’s fascinations minus the melodrama. Which might well make Gammage this generation’s Hank Williams.”

Born in France in the early 60's, Claude Bourbon grew up in Switzerland, where he was classically trained. Singer/Songwriter Sunday
with Daisy Anabelle, and, Denise Hunt
Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter
12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar
12 North Division Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Daisy Anabelle's introspective pop-infused melodic songs -- influenced by the likes of Carole King, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple and Ingrid Michaelson -- were written both for personal expression and to connect with her listeners. Since moving to NYC in 2014, Daisy has been playing standing room only sets in the Village, Lower East Side, and Brooklyn music haunts such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, Pianos, and The Living Room. Her debut EP, "My Own Person", features an eclectic mix of musical styles.

Denise Angelina Hunt is a singer/songwriter originally from Cold Spring, NY. Having crafted her own style of playing ukulele and guitar, it's difficult to place her into a specific genre. Her story-telling, heartfelt lyrics and organic melodies create a unique folk sound with an edge. Denise's voice, original music, and interpretation of cover songs are dynamic, poetic, and leaves the listener wanting more.
