Wright's most recent cd is titled "Menage a Trey", a trio project with Russell Worrell on drums and Kenny Davis on bass.

Greg Randolph of The Republic of Jazz deemed “Menage a Trey” to be his “Favorite CD of 2015”. His review states that “Wright’s tone is reminiscent of Trane but in a much more subdued manner (and I say that as high praise) and with a funky early Grover Washington Jr. flavour on top…I cannot recommend this disc highly enough. Finding an entire CD that flows like a telling story is rare. This is the one.”

The Alonzo Wright Project features, Kendall Scott on keys, Noah Garabrdian on bass, Russell Worrell on drums and Alonzo Wright on saxes and flute.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 9TH SHOW TIME 8:30 PM BLACK DAWN TOUR - 2016

- Creem Magazine CACTUS - The American Led Zeppelin.” Those are tall words, but that is in fact what people were saying about Cactus when this first "Super Group" hit the scene in 1970. Cactus flamed out brightly after only four albums at the end of 1972. With rockers such as Van Halen, Monster Magnet, Kings X, Billy Sheehan, David Coverdale, Kid Rock and Ted Nugent having been documented in interviews as fans of the loud and proud ‘70s sensation, Cactus's mark in Rock and Roll history is undisputed.

The current Cactus lineup includes original members Carmine Appice, Jim McCarty along with Jimmy Kunes (vocals), Randy Pratt (harmonica) and Pete Bremy (bass)

Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY   See Map
Dennis Dougherty has been known to spend weeks, months and in some cases years obsessing over a song. “I just can’t seem to accept ‘good enough’. I always think a word or a line or the groove can be just a bit better, maybe great.”

After having spent years in the NYC, Greenwich Village singer/songwriter scene, Dennis opened shows for Roger McGuinn, Ritchie Havens, Tom Paxton, Lucinda Williams and many others. The craft, the art of the song is where it begins and ends for Dennis and writing with Nashville songwriters will send you to school big time. “Fred Koller, Michael Smith, Steve Gillette are not only my co-writers they are my mentors.”

The new album “Get The Angle Right”, on Thinking Dog Records, distributed by Redeye International is a lifetime of word obsessions, melody tweaking and groove mining set down in song
