	The New York based Cuban jazz ensemble "Hot House", produced and directed by trumpeter Steven Gluzband, juxtaposes traditional Cuban dance forms with the jazz idiom, young musicians with veteran players, and Cuban émigrés with first and second generation Americans. The result of this remarkable collaboration is a fresh mix that can only be Latin jazz from NYC. Hot House debuted their 2008 release, "Cuban Tribute to Charlie Parker" which was included in five categories in the Grammy awards. Gluzband has played with Latin superstars Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaría, Héctor Lavoe, Machito, Celia Cruz, Sonora Matancera, Orlando Contreras, Vicentico Valdez, Ray de la Paz, Larry Harlow, the Alegre All Stars; recorded 18 albums with the Haitian group Mini All-Stars; was a member of the Ray Barretto Orchestra, appearing on over 250 recordings including the Grammy-winning Ritmo en el Corazon and Naked; and has been a member of Johnny Pacheco's band since 2006. 	SageArts is hosting a concert on July 17th to celebrate in song the lives of local elders from the Woodstock, N.Y. community. SageArts is an intergenerational arts project that brings together songwriters and elders from local communities to collaboratively write original songs about the elders’ lives. Songwriters/Performers Elizabeth Clark, Sarah Kramer-Harrison, Kelleigh McKenzie, Bonnie Meadow, Sarah Perrotta, Jude Roberts, and Robert Burke Warren will perform original songs written with eight Woodstock elders. The event will open with a reception at 4:00 and the concert will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Woodstock Music Lab, 1700 Sawkill Road in Woodstock. Produced by John Lissauer, the new album is a set of warm and welcoming original songs, with lyrics by Woody Guthrie, Maggie Dubris and Lisa herself. A Grammy-winning songwriter for her settings of Woody Guthrie's lyrics on the Klezmatics' CD "Wonder Wheel," Lisa Gutkin has composed and appeared in Paula Vogel's Off-Broadway hit "Indecent," Sex & the City, and worked in Sting's Broadway production "The Last Ship." She has worked with such artists as Natalie Merchant, Susan McKeown, Pete Seeger, and The Demolition String Band. Suggested donation $15. 	Bottom Dollar String Band has been a growing bluegrass powerhouse in Austin since their formation in the Texas Hill Country in 2011. Hunter Hollingsworth (mandolin/lead vocals) and Josh Moore (banjo/vocals) are the founding members with Devon Canady (guitar/vocals) joining a year later after a seemingly harmless garage jam. Since then they have explored a sound that borrows from the high-lonesome harmonies and blazing fiddle tunes of bluegrass and blends it with genre-bending medleys, sing-along pop covers, and their own rep of quotable original songs. Labels aside, Bottom Dollar strives to strip music down to its roots and express the human experience with themes of Americana folklore. They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such notable acts as the Duhks, Town Mountain, and White Denim.

	For over 25 years the Towne Crier's legendary Open Mic Nights have drawn top talent from throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond, including Sloan Wainwright, the Slambovian Circus Of Dreams and Red Molly. Known as a true "listening room," it provides artists with a respectful performance space, and live music fans with the best entertainment value around.
