Lillie Lemon hails from the great Midwest, the land of long winters and short summers. She began her musical life on the shores of Lake Michigan in the dead of winter. Her songwriting is heavily influenced by the flux of the seasons, often substantial in lyrical content and dense in sound. Settling in Monterey, Lillie attached herself to the local music scene. Sunday 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm | A HOMECOMING! Stellar Songwriting, Stellar Singing with Marc Von Em Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter | 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar 12 North Division Street Peekskill, NY See Map |
Marc Von Em is back "Home" in Peekskill, just after his 4th tour with the Rob Thomas Band. His original music is influenced by folk, funk and blues, with a few choice cover songs woven in. As one reviewer wrote: "If you haven't seen Marc Von Em perform live, you're only cheating yourself." Marc is able to create amazing amounts of sound and diversity through his voice and one faithful guitar. His chops are wide-ranging, from delicate finger picking to rambunctious Pete Townsend-type strumming. Marc is able to seamlessly switch his vibe -- his dynamic voice can go from smooth & soaring to smoky scatting. His harmonica playing is equally impressive and he sometimes uses it to accompany Muddy Waters-style blues on guitar. Rob Thomas wrote, "... when I heard his original stuff, I asked [Marc] to open up a 10,000 seat gig. Just him, his guitar, and his songs. He killed it!" Come help us welcome Marc back to our 12 Grapes stage! NO COVER. See Marc's performance with the Rob Thomas Band | ||

"Blues for Peace" is a grass roots movement of musicians, music promoters and music venues, or anybody who wants to be involved to promote peace. Shadetree Mechanics is part of the movement, and will be performing at 12 Grapes in support of The "Blues for Peace Project", which is sanctioned by the United Nations. This world-wide fundraiser will take place on May 27, 28, 29 and 30 in cities and towns around the globe. Blues for Peace has partnered with the USA for UNHCR, the U.N. Refugee Agency, and will be raising funds to assist refugees world-wide. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the U.N. in support of Human Rights around the world. Shadetree Mechanics are 2015 NY and NJ Blues Hall of Fame inductees. The band features Michael "The Rev" Rochelle on lead vocals/guitar/washboard, "Elmo" John Lawson, Pat Gregor and Ray G. $10 Cover, minimum, or higher donation will go towards supporting this worthy cause.
