	"It's all about the song. It has to be. If it isn't, then as far as I'm concerned, you're missing the point." These words spoken by Pat O'Shea in a recent interview speak volumes about the singer/songwriter/guitarist and his band The Honest Men. In a world where much of the music of the day runs rampant with empty bravado and even emptier content, a band like The Honest Men is a lung full of fresh air. Five members all focused on "the song". "It's really a 'sum of the parts' kind of thing" explains O'Shea. "I'm a guitarist, a guitar solo is a great thing - as long as it serves the song. But not every song needs a guitar solo or maybe not even any kind of solo. And these are the kind of songs we write. Songs that speak, that speak to me. If it speaks to me then I have to believe it's going to speak to others." "It's straight ahead American rock and roll," says O'Shea.

Christine has loved Laura's music from a young age when she was given Eli and the Thirteenth Confession by a radio DJ friend. She was inspired by Laura's music to be bold in writing, singing, and playing piano. Laura Nyro was the quintessential singer/songwriter and pianist whose groundbreaking music crossed the genres of folk, rock, and jazz. 	In a diverse career spanning decades, keyboardist/arranger PETE LEVIN has performed and recorded with hundreds of notable artists including Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Lenny White, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius and Robbie Robertson. He received accolades for his years with the legendary Gil Evans and with jazz icon Jimmy Giuffre. Pete has just completed "The Levin Brothers" album with brother, iconic bass player Tony Levin. Saxophonist KEN GIOFFRE currently tours and records as saxophonist for Smokey Robinson. and has recorded for ABC, NBC, CBS, A&E, HBO, ESPN, and BET television. 	Barbara Dempsey & her husband DeWitt Nelson have been playing together for many years in a variety of genres. The one constant is Barbara's voice, smoky, rich & soulful with hints of Ella Fitzgerald, Bonnie Raitt & Janis Joplin. If you were in the house last February for the High Falls Cafe's "Valentine's Singers Showcase", you'll recall Barbara's amazing rendition of June Christy's masterwork, "Something Cool". This time around, Barbara will be performing a number of tunes from June Christy as well as many of her other favorite female jazz vocalists. Backing up Barbara will be DeWitt Nelson on bass, Ken McGloin on guitar, Larry Balestra on drums, and special guest Ian Bennett on sax. 	From deep within the urban forest of Pittsburgh's East End, the Squirrel Hillbillies often emerge to share their eclectic mix of folk, country and blues.
