Ever dreamed of being in a lead singer in a band? Do you love singing into the mirror with your hairbrush as a mic? Than LBK is for you!!

12 Grapes' Live Band Karaoke is like traditional karaoke -- people choose a song from a list and sing when it's their turn-- but instead of a pre-recorded background track, the participants sing with a LIVE backing band, and even back-up singers. LBK is way more fun than singing to a pre-recorded track.

We have over 150 songs on our list, including '70s, '80s, '90s and contemporary pop/rock/soul. The list will be posted on the 12 Grapes Facebook page each month, so check it out.

Hosted by JP Patrick, with Tito Wilson on drums, Chris Burke on keys, Artie Walker on bass and Hank DeCora on guitar.

Ashokan Center
477 Beaverkill Rd
Olivebridge, NY   See Map
Back in February 2013, we joined with our family, friends & the Ashokan Center & launched an indoor festival called Winter Hoot with local music, local food, & art & nature activities for all ages. It was great! Over 400 attended & made it truly spectacular.

Besides raising money to help local kids attend Ashokan's important outdoor education programs, this late-winter gathering raised a lot of people's spirits, young and old!

The 1st Summer Hoot was magical: 28 bands, a volunteer-constructed outdoor stage, perfect weather, & a magical Sunday morning show by Pete Seeger which will live forever in our memories.

The Hoot fills us with gratitude for the immense beauty, talent & generosity that overflows this valley, these mountains, this region & our greater community on this globe.

2nd Annual Summer Hoot: Aug 22-24, 2014.

Ladies Day is dedicated to discovering and performing the compositions of classic and contemporary jazz women. After an Aha! Moment, when vocalist MJ Territo realized that so many of the little-known tunes she loved to sing were written by women, she began to think about putting a set of the tunes together and playing them with other women musicians. When she met pianist Linda Presgrave, another collector and performer of compositions by women, she put the project in motion. Since 2011 the ensemble has performed in venues in and around New York City. A sampling of their repertoire includes music by jazz masters Mary Lou Williams, Abbey Lincoln, Marian McPartland, and Peggy Lee; works by contemporary songwriters such as Meredith D'Ambrosio and Nellie McKay; and original compositions and collaborations by the band's members.

Derby participants design a non-motorized kinetic sculpture capable of "rolling" down lower Broadway in Kingston, NY's Rondout Historic District. Community artists conduct Art Car design workshops for local youth, an annual poster features a regional artist, and thousands of dollars in prizes are given away. Celebrating 19 years in 2014, t he Artist Soap Box Derby has garnered national and region-wide attention in the New York Times, Business Week, other major publications, broadcast media and online, drawing more than 8,000 visitors to Kingston for a Derby weekend.

John Tracy’s music is for real people living real life. It is born of a desire to be transparent and share his experiences in life through his lyrics. Spending hours since the age of sixteen perfecting his skill on the acoustic guitar, studying songwriting from some of the industry’s best and pouring his expertise as a lyricist into each word, he has crafted songs that have a resounding impact.

Says Jeff Curtis, Executive Director of The Orange Downtown Alliance: “John’s genius of delivering lyrical melodies of all things that we experience as humans may only be surpassed by his mastery of the guitar. He will tell you that he loves writing songs but his music tells you that he loves the human connection.”
