The Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts features an outstanding artist every Sunday. Unlike most sets that offer one or two songs from a particular artist, this features one artist for a complete set. This is a great way for aficionados of folk music, bluegrass, contemporary singer songwriters, etc to hear some of today's exciting artists and really get an idea of what these wonderful people are all about. It's also a great way for venues that present live music to hear some of the best "hidden" talent in the country - a potential source for potential bookings.
The Hootenanny Cafe airs every Sunday at 9PM (est) on WTBQ. You can listen on:
- WTBQ.com
- 93.5FM in upstate NY
- 98.3FM in North Jersey and NY

Sunday 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm | Kyle Hancharick Singer-Songwriter, Americana, and Folk/Traditional | Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts Online and on the radio, NY See Map |
Kyle Hancharick is a singer/songwriter from Warwick, New York. His passionate performances are punctuated by a crisp acoustic guitar and soaring tenor vocals giving voice to his smart, relatable and socially relevant compositions.
As a child, Kyle loved the music of John Denver and Bob Dylan. His first stage performance was at a Bob Dylan festival when he was just 8 years old. He performed “Blowin’ in the Wind” and was the most memorable performer of the day. He discovered Richard Shindell, David Wilcox and Ellis Paul, master storytellers who would have tremendous impacts on his work. He reveres their musicianship, their poetry and their stories. Kyle has performed on the Emerging Artists Showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and received a golden ticket at his first NERFA. He has opened shows for Ellis Paul, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Lucy Kaplansky and Red Molly. Kyle’s upbeat love song, “How You Say Goodbye,” is on Ellis’s 2019 album The Storyteller’s Suitcase. | ||
