Spontaneous Broadway is an improvised Broadway "backers audition." Here's how it works: Act 1 Audience members suggest song titles and Mop & Bucket improvisers use those suggestions to create numbers from musicals that have not yet been written. It's a great time for anyone who loves a Broadway show tune. The reviews are in! "These kids are so talented -- it's like candy for your ears. Hooked on the magic of singing harmony together, these three women formed a band to support each other in the art of songwriting. Drawing deep from the well of feminine experience and indelible ties to home, community, and nature, their signature free-flowing vintage folk, jazz and gospel aesthetic runs seamlessly through “Fine Bloom”. With the support of upright bassist Andrew Cameron, Free the Honey adds a fresh, sweet taste to contemporary string-band music with a “relaxed approachability”, that Colorado Marquee Magazine says, “makes it seem as if they’ve been at this for decades.” The elements are familiar - harmony singing, twin fiddle, open back banjo, guitar, mandolin, storytelling, and mountain culture. The alchemy is all their own. | ||
