MHC is a gypsy jazz group that plays hot swing from the 30s and 40s. Steeped in the gypsy jazz tradition, the group celebrates the music made popular by legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt and jazz violinist Stephanie Grappelli.

 For anyone who loves joyful, unpretentious, but highly creative and spontaneous jazz, Todd Londagin’s new album Look Out For Love will be a delightful discovery. In the company of four longstanding musical cohorts, Todd has assembled a repertoire of 10 songs, culled from the Great American Songbook and popular songs.
Bassist Jennifer Vincent and drummer David Berger have been playing with Todd since the early 1990s (all three were original members of the successful ‘90s band, The Flying Neutrinos); while pianist Matt Ray and guitarist Pete Smith have been performing with Todd since 2000. Together, they artfully and lovingly developed each piece like an assortment of delicious dishes combined together for a cohesive feast. As Todd explains, "each tune is an exercise in doing things in a different way." Unabashed swing is definitely a consistent mood throughout the CD.

 Jobe/Redfearn Ensemble performs work by two award-winning composers: Steven L. Jobe and Alec K. Redfearn. Besides a giant hurdy gurdy, the effect of which Jobe describes as “a primal hypnotic wave”, Jobe/Redfearn features intriguing and colorful instrumentation -- accordion, violin, viola, cello and percussion. In addition, two guest vocalists, Ellen Santinello, with a background that includes opera, early and art music, and Gillian Chadwick, whose vocals range from rock to folk styles, will round out the absorbing, eclectic, impossible-to- categorize sound. Selections range from a dreamy art-song melody by Jobe entitled "Chartres," to a characteristically accordion-infused extravaganza by Redfearn, "Amoebiasis".  Chubby took his cue from artists of the '60s, including Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, among others. In his early twenties, he worked for a while backing punk poet Richard Hell.
Chubby's first big break was winning a national blues talent search sponsored by KLON, a public radio station in Long Beach, California. He won New Artist of the Year, and opened the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992, and has been rocking audience with his bold approach to music ever since.

 Singer/songwriter Ife Sanchez Mora met the Grammy Award winning Danny Blume in NYC. They bonded over country life, music, and a love for family and quickly decided to work together.
With a shared love of old time Blues, Blue Grass, Country music and rock, Ife & Danny had a clear and honest musical direction to explore. Soon after they were sending recordings back and forth to each other via email and the songwriting flowed naturally.
Several months later Ife packed up her car and drove out to Danny's Hidden Quarry studio in Woodstock NY to record Country, Appalachian, & Blues songs way up in the mountains. Very quickly thereafter they played live, it felt good, and their duo was born.
On stage and in the studio, Ifé & Danny make living, breathing music. Each accomplished artists and composers in their own right, Ifé Mora (vocals) and Danny Blume (guitar, vocals) come together to make music born of their own deep experiences.

 For thirteen years Andy Stack played every gig in NYC. Just as he considered moving to New Orleans, he met fiddler, Tania Elizabeth. In rapid succession, they formed a duo, The Stacks, married and relocated to the Hudson Valley.
During a session at Levon Helm’s Barn, Andy and Tania Elizabeth Stack heard drummer, Lee Falco, bassist, Brandon Morrison and guitarist, Connor Kennedy, each of them staples of the Hudson Valley music scene, tearing it up. Their virtuosic playing complimented Andy’s songs, voice and guitar beautifully.
Within six months they had crafted a lush, soulful Roots/Rock album, with Tania adding strings and vocals, Jeremy Baum on keys, Rich Hinman on Pedal Steel and a horn section by Andy’s former bandmates Fred Reiter and Kevin Batchelor from Andy's days with the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble.
Slated for release in August 2014, Buffalo Stack’s album is poised to capture the hearts of anyone who loves old-school Rock & Roll, Blues & Americana music. |

 After a chance meeting with Sire Records’ legendary Seymour Stein at a music conference in Australia, Stein offered Fields his business card and told him to look him up if he was ever in NYC. Fields packed up his girlfriend, their dog, and lives and moved to NYC; showing up at Stein’s office with a 12-track album. He was signed to Sire in November 2012 and is currently finishing his debut full length album, Extraordinary Light.
Ben Fields is bringing a style of introspective songwriting pioneered by artists like Nick Drake and Van Morrison back into the mainstream. A stylistic homogeny of Harry Nilsson, The Beatles, Curtis Mayfield, and Lowell George. Fields sets the tone of the album with 'Swede' - A John Lennon Songwriting Award winner.
In his own words, "I believe craftsmanship is far from dead.... I do craft something that I believe will not fall to pieces in weeks, or months, or years. I craft songs to last a lifetime..."

JP plays Blues harp and alto sax (and sometimes a little stand-up comedy!), and always performs with passion and energy. His audiences feel it... and love it.
Every month, there's a new dynamic on the stage. Tonight, JP is joined by the incredible talents of Dave McDowell on sax, Paulie Biz on bass, Johnny Feds and Tony Pagano on guitar and Linda Geiger on drums.
