All-She-WroteSinger-Songwriter, Folk/Traditional, and AmericanaAll-She-Wrote is Gloria Jean, David LaPlante & Stephen Pounds. Regulars at the Woodstock-New Paltz Art&Crafts Fair, they play live music venues across the Northeast like Caffé Lena in Saratoga Springs & The Guthrie Center in Great Barrington, MA. Known for rich harmony vocals & clear acoustic guitar playing, they perform authentic renditions of classic 60s-70s folk with Gloria’s original songs between. They play guitars built by LaPlante, who crafted instruments for Noel Paul Stookey of Peter Paul & Mary. All three take turns at lead vocals, with LaPlante and Pounds playing intricately coordinated fingerpicking supported by Jean’s strong rhythm guitar, and the incomparable Larry Packer on fiddle & mandolin. They have 2 cds, the 2004 self-titled All-She-Wrote, and their 2017 release, Passing It On. Both earned a place on Folk-DJ Listserve’s “Top Albums” list. Featured are guest instrumental tracks by Rounder artists, The Lonely Heartstring Band, and Larry Packer on fiddle & mandolin.
