Orignal, dynamic and downright coolwith
Jessi Mason & FriendsContemporary, Jazz, and Rock (modern). Singer/SongwriterJessi Mason is a singer/songwriter whose songs are honest and intimate, her voice sweet and soulful. Jessi started playing guitar when she was nine years old and began writing original music shortly after. Writing for her is, "a way to express something that [she'd] otherwise be afraid to say out loud." Mason hopes that the qualities of artists who've influenced her -- Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Corinne Bailey Rae and Emily King -- pour out of her music and performances.
Jessi spent her high school years performing around Westchester and NYC in venues such as Silvana, The Bitter End and 12 Grapes, studying at Lagond Music School and recording her debut EP "Hollow." Jessi currently studies performance & songwriting in the popular Music Program at University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
Tonight Jessi is joined by Jason Robins (bass), Henry Mermer (drums) and Sam Caldwell (keys).
